Amanda Micallef is a graduate of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. Amanda also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Community Development and Criminal Justice from Western University. Following the completion of her IPC Placement at Falconers LLP, Amanda joined the firm as an Associate in 2021. Her areas of interest include human rights, access to justice, Indigenous law, and state accountability.
During her time as a student, Amanda served as President of Lakehead University’s Women in Law Society. Amanda also held a Student Caseworker role at Lakehead University Community Legal Services, a legal clinic that offers free legal services to low-income individuals, where she managed files with matters pertaining primarily to criminal and provincial offences, and landlord-tenant issues. Through her time in law school, Amanda demonstrated her passion for promoting access to justice, volunteering her time to several NGOs through her work with Pro Bono Students Canada.
As a Thunder Bay resident, Amanda enjoys getting involved in and giving back to her community. She is a board member of the Women’s Legal Education & Action Fund (“LEAF”), Thunder Bay Chapter.
Amanda is a reality tv enthusiast and enjoys watching shows such as Big Brother and the Amazing Race in her spare time.
