Christopher Rapson

Professional Experience

Christopher Rapson is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. He also holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Queen’s University. Chris joined Falconers LLP in 2021 after five years of practice in civil and commercial litigation and police accountability.

As a law student, Chris completed the Intensive Program in Indigenous Lands, Resources, and Governments at Osgoode Hall Law School, including a placement at West Coast Environmental Law. He also completed the Environmental Law Centre clinical program at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. Prior to his call to the Ontario bar in June 2016, Chris completed the Law Practice Program at Ryerson University, including a placement at the Canadian Environmental Law Association. In those roles, he assisted First Nation clients in high-profile matters involving environmental regulation and Indigenous rights.

Chris has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. His areas of interest include constitutional law, Indigenous rights, environmental law, and state accountability.

Chris is from Ontario, spent many years in British Columbia, and now lives in Toronto.
