Mitch Goldenberg

Professional Experience

Mitch is an Associate with Falconers LLP with a practice area focused on Civil Litigation in Aboriginal and State Accountability Law. Mitch was drawn to Falconers LLP’s Human Rights practice while studying at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in Thunder Bay. After starting his career with the Ministry of the Attorney General, Mitch jumped at the opportunity to join Falconers LLP after his Call to the Bar in June 2022.

Mitch proudly serves on the Falconers teams representing:

  • Nishnabe-Aski Nation in the Supreme Court of Canada for s.35 constitutional reference on Indigenous self-government and child welfare sovereignty;
  • The Office of the Special Interlocutor for Missing Children and Unmarked Graves and Burial Sites. This involved intervening in the Quebec Superior Court in overseeing an archaeological investigation into potential unmarked burials; and
  • Actions in Court and the police disciplinary tribunal in pursuit of justice and accountability from misconduct.

Mitch is also a journalist by trade, finds joy spending time with his wife and cat, and feelings of despair in cheering for his local sports teams.
