Erin McMurray
Erin McMurray is a graduate of the University of Windsor, earning her Juris Doctor degree in 2023. Erin also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, with a minor in International Development, from the University of Guelph.
Before her Call to the Bar in 2024, Erin worked as a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of Justice in both Brampton and Milton, gaining valuable experience by assisting with legal research and writing and receiving knowledgeable advice from Justices about the legal profession.
Erin’s areas of legal interest include litigation with a focus on state accountability, the intersection of the legal system and the treatment of marginalized individuals, and Indigenous self-governance. Erin continuously applied these lenses throughout her studies, writing papers on Canada’s colonial legal system, the lack of supports for marginalized groups, and the systemic exclusion of those same groups from legal protection.
Erin joined the firm as an Associate in 2024. The ultimate goal of her work is to advocate for social justice while supporting the ideas of continuous legal education, innovation, and improvements on access to justice.
When not at work, Erin enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, crocheting, and attempting to learn German.
