Julian Falconer Presents at SOAR’s 30th Annual Conference

Yesterday, Falconers LLP lawyer, Julian Falconer gave opening remarks at the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators (“SOAR”) 30th Annual Conference: Building Fair Responsive and Inclusive Approaches in Toronto. On the panel, Lighting the Fire: Strategies to Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (“EDI”), Julian Falconer was joined by Legal Director, Avvy Go and Senior Fellow, Camille Orridge. The three celebrated disruptors embrace the concepts of EDI and share their visions, initiatives and accomplishments in spearheading various concrete efforts to achieve fairness, balance and a better society.

SOAR is an organization of Chairs, members, management and staff of administrative boards, agencies and tribunals. Julian Falconer is a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario and in that capacity serves as Co-Chair of the Equity and Aboriginal Issues Committee and Vice-Chair of the Task Force addressing Challenges Faced by Racialized Licensees. SOAR’s mission is to advance administrative justice through education, advocacy and innovation. The 2018 conference aspired to build fairer, more responsive and equitable approaches to the adjudicative and regulatory regimes we administer.
