United Church of Canada Reviews Reverend Gretta Vosper’s Theological Beliefs

On June 29, 2016, Reverend Gretta Vosper’s theological beliefs were reviewed by the United Church of Canada (“UCC”).

Reverend Vosper is the Minister of West Hill United Church (“West Hill”), located in Scarborough and within the Toronto Conference of the UCC. Rev. Vosper is a self-described atheist who does not believe in a supernatural, interventionist, divine being. Rather Reverend Vosper believes that god is a metaphor for goodness and love, lived with compassion and justice.

Rev. Vosper has openly applied her views throughout her ministry since 2001, and has the full support of her Congregation. Several members of West Hill’s congregation were in attendance yesterday in support of their Minister, Reverend Vosper.

Julian Falconer and Akosua Matthews of Falconers LLP act as legal counsel for Reverend Vosper.
