Police Training is the Problem: Ombudsman
Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé states: “people in crisis like Sammy Yatim are dying not because cops don’t follow the rules, but because they do.”
Representing Sahar Bahadi the mother of Sammy Yatim, lawyer Julian Falconer, also pointed to decades of inaction on the issue of police use of force adding to the problem.
