Nishnawbe Aski Nation Chiefs Assembly
The 49 Chiefs of Nishnawbe Aski Nation are meeting for the 35th Keewaywin Conference in Taykwa Tagamou Nation on August 9th to August 11th, 2016.
Issues on the agenda will include: the enactment of the draft statutory and regulatory framework for NAPS, and the future of the police service. The First Nation Family and Caring Society of Canada proceedings before the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal; and, First Nation jurisdiction over child and family services.
