On November 5, 2020, Justice Joseph Di Luca will render his sentencing decision for convicted Toronto Police Service Constable Michael Theriault. Constable Michael Theriault was convicted on June 26, 2020, for an assault in relation to an attack on Dafonte Miller on December 28, 2016. Dafonte suffered catastrophic injuries, including the loss of his left eye.
