Thunder Bay, ON –
On June 8, 2021, the families of the late Stacy DeBungee, Jordan Wabasse, and other Indigenous families and advocates appeared at a press conference in Thunder Bay. The families are calling for urgent action on the implementation of the Broken Trust report, including independent reinvestigations into the deaths of ten Indigenous persons who died in Thunder Bay. Julian Falconer from Falconers LLP appeared in his capacity as counsel to Brad DeBungee, brother of the late Stacy Debungee.
