NAN Calls on Auditor Generals to Intervene
In the wake of the verdict and recommendations of the Jury in the First Nations Youth Inquest, Nishnawbe Aski Nation has issued a call to the governments of Canada and Ontario to request that the Auditor Generals of Canada and Ontario report on the federal and provincial governments’ responses to the jury’s recommendations. NAN also calls on the Auditor Generals to evaluate the implementation measures that have been taken within two years’ time.
