In early March 2026, Falconers LLP travelled to Edmonton, Alberta, to support the Treaty 8 Summit to support exploratory discussions for a regional agreement reforming the First Nations Child and Family Services Program in Treaty 8 Alberta territory. Invaluable discussions were had as Indigenous Services Canada learned about the unique needs and realities of Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta. Falconers LLP is honoured to support Treaty 8 Nations in their efforts to achieve real systemic change, hold Canada accountable (demonstrating that one size does NOT fit all), and ensure that no child is left behind.
Falconers LLP partner Julian Falconer, and associates Jordan Tully, Erin McMurray and Meg Daniel are honoured to support Treaty 8 in this work.
